    Burglaries continue

It seems that most of these attacks are in the early to late evening hours....propably the same people are involved......no vehicle ID as of this date.

Also, it appears that these people want a quick escape route....a main road or highway to get away fast.

Look for common elements in their syle of behavior or attack.

    Straight ahead,

Armed robbers attack Edison massage parlor a second time

    Thursday, January 23, 2003

    Star-Ledger Staff

Armed robbers burst into a massage parlor in Edison, tied up four female employees and a male patron with duct tape and fled with cash and jewelry, police said yesterday.

The incident at TMC Day Spa at 2595 Woodbridge Ave., was the second violent attack at the address in 13 months.

About 8 p.m. Tuesday, three men and a woman burst through the front door, pulled handguns and told the five people inside to get on the floor, police said.

The robbers then bound all five, and took their jewelry and an undetermined amount of money from them and from the business, police said. One employee eventually got free and called police from a nearby store. None of the victims was injured, police said.

On Dec. 19, 2001, four masked men with handguns stormed the MTC massage parlor at the same address, hitting the owner and seven employees with guns. Three victims required hospital treatment for their injuries, and those robbers also made off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

A month later, State Police raided MTC during a prostitution crackdown. They found Edison Police Lt. John Welgos, then head of the vice squad, who said he was on the scene with approval of his superiors to provide security because of the earlier attack. Welgos later retired and was not charged in the case.

Just read in today's Star Ledger that there was another robbery by the same gang that has been doing the others. This time at ACE in East Brunswick on Route 18. Time was 7:10pm. 2 men and a women just like before. They hit some of the employees, and pistol whipped a customer when he tried to escape.

They then went to PA Therapy in Perth Amboy and did the same.

Sorry I cannot find the story in the online version of the Star Ledger this time.

    Please be careful out there!
