Then again - not too many of you can remember back to the 1940's when just about everyone was buying false papers to get into this country - I was a Wong for 15 years before we got a legal name change.

interesting reading.. thanks for the insight.. I'v never been completely naive about how they get here.. and how they pay for it.. I suspect that the house keeps most if not all door fees.. and the gal can make add'l payments.. $60,000/60 = 1,000 sessions.. easily done in a yr or so.. but then again the gals get caught in a web of other vices.. interest.. yadda.. yadda.. tip well and be safe

yea the deportation rules are strick on expired visa's .. the only way out is marriage
even that is a crap-shot ... green card or hong kong.! ..
but the real thing is what about those who make it ..... 10%

If your visa expires you are considered out of status. From my understanding
it is the same as being here illegally. I guess it doesn't make any difference to ICE if you pay your taxes and raise your family here.

yeah thats an awesome plan, deport people who start businesses and create jobs, contribute to cash flow and the economy but let the illegals who come here and take jobs to stay

Quite true. There was an article in the paper a few months ago about a wealthy greek immigrant who was the owner of several diners and had 5 children all born here in the US. Well, he got into a fight with a neighbor in 2002 and was arrested/convicted of assault. It turns out he never applied for a green card after being here for of 20+ years. The story goes on about his fight the past 4 years to try and stay in the US and how ICE was doing everything they could to deport him. He was near the end of the line regarding appeals and his time was coming soon.

The problem is (as I understand it) if you are here illegally, doesnt matter if you get married, have a kid etc. The guy I know (and his wife - from the Ukraine) did everything by the book and it still took 3 years and a lot of $$$ and crap.

come to think of it, i don't know of *any* who really plan to stay. all expect to work 2 yrs or so and quit and go home. that 2 years quickly stretches to 3-4 and then before you know it to 5-6, then indefinitely.

when i ask all say the will return one day to the motherland. i used to think that was because korea was so good (the party line), now perhaps its just because staying legitimately is not a realistic expectation?

    True dat:

The marriage sham party's over. I have a few friends married to ex amp workers, one was married, had a kid, and after 5 years. Still no gc, and plenty of $$$ wasted on lawyers.

Now, if you are a scoundrel, one can bilk a chick out of her money, and disappear with a nice purse. A lot of ladies make their money and go back home nowadays for these reasons.

Perhaps because sham marriages are extremely difficult to pull off today. I know of a guy with a legit marriage and just had his(and her) last interview with immigration after 3 years of BS. With a sham marriage, the couple just wouldn't be able to answer all the common day to day type questions that the agents asked unless they lived together for a while.

it's 60,000 to get smuggled out of china into the u.s. It's then up to the guy or girl to figure out how to repaid the snake head. For some guys it's a lifetime working in a resturant, or turning to crime. for girls it's working in a sewing factory or massage palor. I knew a girl who whould pay $60,000 to be married to a u.s citizen. she worked and then ran an amp. I know she had the money. she was that good looking and had a body and easy 9.5 if not a 10. she left the business and i lost track of her.

Yes, most run on the same in/out scheduling.Possible, some pay more than 30k to come to the U.S. It takes longer to pay it off at 20-30% from the Korean henchmen.

It's a famous story, taught on the plane ride to Old Glory. It changes from time to time, but the meaning is the same

Not really, Money is power, and makes life easier. If the girl finds a sugar daddy, good for her. I still tap it on the DL.

    Yes, like a skipping CD
