How come I always find out about these places after they are shut down?

I remember when I first became a member there was a thread about different topless places and some one mentioned the Crow Bar and said it was in Baldwin. Being a south Shore guy I went looking for it but never found it. Matty, where exactly is (was?) it? Can you give me a Land mark?

when did this all happen? and how definate are these accusations? do u know 1st hand? i live in baldwin now, in middle of moving elsewhere though...i seen this place..but never went it...

Baldwin bar owners busted
(12/09/01) BALDWIN - The owners of a bar in Baldwin are accused of serving up more than just drinks.
Police say they were doing a license check and a follow up investigation on the Crow Bar on Grand Avenue Saturday and found evidence of illegal prostitution.
Co-owners Robert Speer, 48, from Baldwin and Lavergne Bryant, 38, from Roosevelt were arrested.
A woman, Rosio Hernandez was charged with prostitution and false impersonation.
The Crow Bar has been shut down.
