By: Miki Garcia Tuesday, June 27, 2006 Dear readers: Friendship can impact your real estate investments. In fact, friendship can turn on you and get you right where you live. According to media reports, actress Denise Richards has listed her home in Westlake Village for almost an apologetic, but still hopeful, asking price of $4.3 million. It's not because the 7,400-square-foot, two-story house built in 1996 on 1.2 acres isn't beautiful with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a golf course view, a pool, spa, three fireplaces and a garage accommodating at least four luxury cars. It's because good friends can sometimes become bitter enemies. At high noon, a gated community may not be big enough for both of them. It was just last year when actress Heather Locklear welcomed her friend, Denise, to her neighborhood after Denise separated from her soon-to-be-ex-hubby, actor Charlie Sheen. Denise, probably needing a shoulder to cry on, purchased a house right down the street from Heather. As "Wisteria Lane" would have it, two shoulders were involved. But before we get to Heather's husband, Bon Jovi rocker Ritchie Samoa, let's catch-up on what has been going on in the neighborhood. In April 2006, Denise filed charges against Charlie claiming on Dec. 30 that there was an incident at her home when Sheen was visiting with the couple's two children. The new homeowner claims he called her a list of vulgar names in front of the children and shoved her to the ground. Denise says that Charlie then screamed, "I hope you (blankety- blank) die, bitch." She says in her request for a restraining order that he was teed off because she had told her divorce attorney about discovering Sheen's sordid porn-surfing practices and that he "belonged to several sex search type sites" on which he "looked for women to have sex with." I won't give you every, little tidbit, but she alleges that Charlie had included a photo of himself in his online profile. It was only February of 2006 when good friend, Heather filed for divorce from Ritchie because, according to People Magazine sources, Heather discovered a suggestive ***** sent to her husband by "one of their female acquaintances." Supposedly, she also sent "provocative pictures." Of course, Ritchie vehemently denied that anything was going on or that he ever asked for the photos. Since all of this alleging, charging, and denying by the Richards/Sheen and Locklear/Sambora couples, anyone with sight and a television has been subjected to news clips of Denise and Richie swapping spit at romantic locations away from their gated community. And now you know why Denise, who paid approximately $4 million and has owned her home for little more than a year, is a motivated seller, who might not be pocketing much after realty commission and fees are paid. That is, if she gets her asking price.
