I doubt very much the girl in question is from North Korea.

It would take her two years just to get her weight up for any of us to look at her.

from what i read, 588 is going to be closed soon, since theyre going to build a new highway/road around there....as for yongsan and miari, never been there, but heard good reports....

ive been to 588 about 5 times last year, and each time was a delight....no hassling, and the girls actually fight over customers on the street....like i said awhile back, its like the seen from that jackie chan/christ tucker movie, but just imagine about 50-75 chicks behind plexi-glass, and 90% are hot, if not hotter, than any chick at 412/B1....

and the best part, $50/$60 per pop...happy hunting guys.

btw, just one quick word of advice, the WSJ is a pretty good source for activities, and its a lot cheaper (about $50).....only if you're in flushing, not sure of the other boroughs

oh yeah, just wanted to write one more thing that i forgot to mention....the douchebag that mentioned "Dear Leader," thats just wrong....why dont you read some information on what actually occurs in that country. its deplorable to satirize a nation, and especially its population, who have no possible way to voice their own opinions, let alone, educate themselves.

as sad as the situation in north korea is, south korea is actually a very progressive country, with the highest percentage of internet users and cell phone users in the world. most of the korean borthel workers are from the south, and if they were from the north, which would be a miniscule percent, they are probably from around the north korea/china border. in fact, since you probably have no idea about the different dialects of korean, there is a sizable portion of the korean community in flushing that speaks both chinese and korean. so before you generalize where a korean comes from, you should learn the language first....maybe you can get a discount

hey everyone, just wanted to chime in my .02 cents.

first, since the topic is about the bust in flushing, id like to talk about this. i actually had the opportunity to hang out with one of the officers that was arrested, and lets just say that he didnt have the reputation of being "smart." we went for drinks with some mutual friends, and it seemed as if he had connections at "these" places (i.e room salons)

second, as for the brothel itself, having been to that place only once, i can say that it was a pretty sophisticated operation. they seemed to do a lot of business, as attested to the 3 floors of rooms, and at least 6 girls working at once. since people cant understand the different price structures, this practice is not only practiced at 164th, but basically any other korean brothel in town. from what i understand, these places are operated by koreans, but have links with chinese gangs (since korean gangs no longer exist in the area).

third, on the topic of xenophobia, people go to MPs and brothels for sexual satisfaction, not intellectual fulfillment. if people are "tired" of hearing about the girls problems, then just keep your mouth shut, and leave when its over. no need to have a conversation that will lead to nothing.

lastly, thank god im in korea now....although i havent particiapted in any activities, nor do i plan to, if in a drunken stupor, at least i have a $50 option with the hottest chicks in the world.

nabbeun, keep up the good work, you seem to have the most common sense out of all the idiots who post here. hopefully, this will be my last post ever on UG, which has provided great info, and i hope that i provided some useful info to everyone else. take care

lou - first of all, i agree with your sentiments 100%. i'm also glad you did well with the opportunity the USA afforded you.

one thing i am a bit concerned about though, it the fear of foreigners (yes, xenophobia) that has taken root, almost at the expense of common sense or any sort of compassion, since 9/11. america has always been kind of isolationist. post 9/11, the policy on immigrants has been zero tolerance, legal or illegal.

yeah the girl was an ungrateful idiot for expressing those feelings. but did you expect level headed logical reasoning from an amp girl? you're looking up the wrong tree.

so like i said, i agree with your feelings 100%. i just thought to say something about the tone, because of what i've been seeing at all levels of society and leadership vs foreigners. over the top and in some cases viscious for no good reason...following kinda 'an eye for a tooth' kind of philosophy...

Ops, seems I hit a nerve there!

I see your point as explained more thoroughly. But this: "4 course meal of grass that Dear Leader provides special for his people.", just sounded a little too "us-and-them-ish" in my opinion. Maybe I over reacted. She could be south korean, not north, right? In which case it's not just your average shitty third-world country. And we don't even know if she was here of her own choice either, right?

Secondly, I reserve the right to whine about any countrys shortcomings as long as it's done on a factual basis. Nothing wrong with that. You can whine about my home country although you never lived there as long as your critique is valid. I don't care. As a matter of fact, I'd appreciate it if we all were critical of things that weren't as they should be. Such as the illegal status of prostitution....

But then again, I'm grouchy this morning because I'm doing bullshit work for the man, feeding his greed making him rich for no apparent reason other than I have to in order to put food on my table because of this bullshit capitalist system, and I wasn't there when this girl complained and I don't know what she said specifically... so if it was overly aggressive then I extend my.... penis.... or appology....

    From Websters:

    Main Entry: xe·no·pho·bia
    Pronunciation: "ze-n&-'fO-bE-&, "zE-
    Function: noun
    Etymology: New Latin
: fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign

My comments had nothing to do with xenophobia, jackass, but rather the looking the gift horse in the mouth syndrome. There are many foreigners in this country who are valuable members of this society who have enhanced their own being as well as the community in which they live as a whole. My problem is the people who come here to get as much of the God Almighty dollar that they can (the only currency with status in just about any corner of this earth), illegally gain those dollars w/o putting anything back (in the form of taxes, etc), enjoy the benefits of our moderately socialist society, return home rich by their own standards, and bitch about what a terrible place the USA is. Hey, it's not perfect, no society is, but if USA is so bad, why are you here and why are you taking our dollars? If the roles were reversed and I did this in, say, France, I would have my head handed to me by the locals. Don't piss on this country if the glass you're holding is half full when you came here and it was empty to begin with.

FWIW, I emigrated to this country over 30 years ago, and I've attained things I could never have achieved otherwise. This country allowed me to do this, and I appreciate the opprtunities afforded to me and my family. So basically STFU.

She can always go back home to that 4 course meal of grass that Dear Leader provides special for his people.

I'm sick and fucking tired of listening to these "guests" who come here to better themselves but all they do is bitch about it. If they don't like it they should just go the fuck home and quit using our resources.

    Back to the topic:

Tonight I stopped at a local amp. The girl who was assigned to me was good looking, but that's about it. In the end I learned she recently came to NY from LA. My point is, She complained about the United States after the pop. I just asked her where she was living, and she began to ramble like a mental patient in a psychiartric ward.

She said that she hated the U.S. and loved her homeland. When I asked why? she burbled that "Police" "Me no likey the Police!!!" If getting some tang wasn't hard enough, now the women hate us Americans too. Get in line bitch, there's already a vast majority who despise the U.S. what's one more!?? That's all I needed to hear. I'm sure it's paradise back in Korea, that's why she's spreading her coochie over here :p

im not sure why you THINK im placing any type of VALUE on a sticker personally i wouldn't be caught dead with a PBA sticker on my car...(that i don't even have to begin with)...i NEVER said it was a BIG DEAL......but..i am at least intelligent enough to know how to call 411..get the number for the PBA....its a 212 number...(my form had an 800 number)..i then asked them about the envelope i received...and was told that it is INDEED the PBA... seeking donations for some new york police conference..... if it's SO unbelievable...DON'T believe it...what do i care...and what do you care? i got what i got...it says what it says..and thats it...nothing more nothing less.....no drama...no AMY marketing...no nothin'...just the pba callin' hookers for donations....i thought it was funny...and a bit shady...but now...i think i've spent FAR TOO MUCH TIME even discussing it........c'mon man...this IS ridiculous.....!!!!! (this is in response to SEVERAL posts...not just yours neilz) goodnight guys. (by the way...i KNOW what pba stands for)

It is ok with me if you made a donation. However, in NYC the PBA is the "Police Benevolent Association". It is the union that cops belong to. Your sticker is worthless. I have no doubt that you got a brochure but it is from a scam organization. You are not the first to send one of these scammers money and you won't be the last.

yes, but it's surely misleading coming in here based on the thread title and previous *on-topic* discussion which i was looking to continue.

unfortunately by the time i realized that the last stretch was just your petty jousting, i was at the end. felt like i had been slimed without any warning...

whatever happened to calling someone out of the saloon for the gunfight? just post the message, 'if you have the balls, i'll see you over in the collesium...

    Not taking sides....

Think of this like radio....you can always change the channel if you don't care for the programming.
