Do yourself a favor, go on ebay and buy a pioneer Tx-9800 to get a killer tuner that puts a lot of the new hi-end tuners to shame.

    MarketPlace and MarketPlace Morning Report

It seems the prostitution epsiode has yet to air. But be aware that this series is also airing as part of the MarketPlace Morning Report which is part of Morning Edition, usually just around 9:00am In NYC, you can also get reception on 91.5, which is serving as a relay since they lost their own antenna on the WTC. Thanks for the linkJ M, MarketPlace archives used to have to be purchased. For a little humor check out the link below, this has made it onto several mixed CD's for friends.

Almost every single NPR show is available online (both transcript and audio). They have some of the best archives I have ever seen.

If you can't find the archives holler back in the thread and I'll take a look.

Did anyone happen to catch the Monday night installment of this series? Im afraid I may have missed the one show I wanted to hear. If someone could summarize it, if in fact it was about the escort biz, I would appreciate it.

This is why one keeps his old Hickok frequency counter.

Well, to answer your first quesry, the precision of your tuning abilities lies in the ability of your ear to obtain the optimal difference. Fortunately, however, the inprecision of your tuning devices is exactly the same as the sensitivity required by your measuring device.

As far as the other, I'm sure we'd all like to believe that there is no such thing as varience.

But really this is theoretical. In all honesty I don't really care that mcuh about tuners.

"the beauty of an anolog tuner is that it has a position for 93.9, 94.1379, sqrt(8888) and even 30*pi"

Yeah. You just can't tell the number that it's actually on. Besides, who needs any other numbers than odd decimals ??? ( in the US ).

Are you kidding? the beauty of an anolog tuner is that it has a position for 93.9, 94.1379, sqrt(8888) and even 30*pi.

Honesty forces me to admit that the only tuners I own are shoddy pieces of crap that are integrated into some other piece of equipment.

    "93.9fm"

Like the dial on your tube radio has any gradations between "92" and "94" ( well, perhaps a little "blip" mark where "93" should be ).

PS what happens at "92" ?

Dont know the station number for WNYC in New York, up here Marketplace is on at 6:30 PM right after All Things Considered.
Cant help you there Slinky, but if you go over to all those blinking black boxes and turn them all on you might stand a chance.

On November 12, National Public Radio will beging a week long series on "The Underground Economy", part of which will deal with the sexworker industry. The series will be on the "Marketplace" show hosted by David Brancaccio. I would imagine this will be alot more interesting with less media fluff and nonsense than previous attempts by the networks.
