Re: Re: I'm such a fool
No..At Julies he posted his name as Samuel..And called him Uncle Sam..
Was his name Jack? I knew such a guy in a simliar type department at Salomon?
Either way my prays are with you, your family and all others people's lives affected by this tradegy
Sending you a hug through the airwaves, bro....
You're not a fool....
My sympathies go out to you and your family. You and all of us are guilty of taking our wonderful lives for granted. So often we're asked, "How are you?". Most of us just respond fine and you. A few years ago, I picked up some insight about life and started responding: "I'm alive so I have nothing to complain about." I never really fully comprehended how significant that statement was until yesterday's tragedy.
You have a friend here on the boards demigawd. May God comfort you. We're all here for you.
My prays are with you and your family
It's funny how things are placed in perspective and you're put in your place in a heartbeat. Here I was, a few weeks ago, complaining about how horrible my life was because I had to rely on escorts as substitute relationships with women, thinking "why me" every day. And then, perspective...
My favorite uncle, a man who has never hurt anybody and who has been more of a father to me than my father ever was, has yet to come home. He was a loyal bookkeeper/auditor-like person for Solomon Brothers at their WTC office and would always teach me the value of being punctual. I would tell him how, at my job, people would waltz in at 10 sometimes 11am. He'd often shake his head in disbelief. "I'm in the office and at my desk by 8:25 every morning, just before my boss arrives".
How I wish, I wish, I wish he had made a habit out of being late.
I love you, uncle....
