    50 post minimum?

While I am not exactly a new member I have not posted very much. I'd rather not write anything unless I have something worthwhile to write.

I have in the past wanted to start a post but didn't have that ability. That left me to either not make the post or piggyback on someone else's post whether it had anything to do with what I had to write or not.

I am hoping to make significant contributions in the future but until then I am unfortunately a lurker. I started off in 1985 with SW in NYC and graduated to escorts due to my thirst for pornstars.

I live quite a distance from NYC and do not make the trip often. So I have been reading and waiting for the street trade to make my trip worthwhile.

    Until then...............

Oh, welcome back! The board was missed.

What do you do & where ?

    Wow!
Where would one post ISO to find out the names of the suburbs in New York and or just general info and so on... ?
Need to find out some info about your City ?
I have spent 2 day's trying to read all of the info before posting , kinda scared to post ...you have a very big board & many forums which can be very useful.
I know the basics: NO URL OR ***** in my post unless I PAY $100.00. I searched the ISO section , though it seems to be for advertising , I saw a lot of adds for a studio or something .
Any help would be appreciated,I do not want to be flamed for posting in the wrong section or including any contact info that is prohibited .
I will try to find my way back to this thread to see if there was a response.

    Thank you.
    G'vanna.

    torn

OK I'm real torn here I agree with a waiting period but I lurked for awhile before I jumped in and started posting just so I didn't create problems I like to be able to post and certainly jump in when I have something to add How about a time period 30-60 days as opposed to a post #

    The ststem is not working

I am not by any means a new user. I have been coming here for like 3 years, or what seems to be three years. in that time I might of made a total of 10 posts, if I am lucky. 99.9 percent of the time, I find what I need from the search.

This is a great board, and a great system...except for now. I am looking for information on a particular provider, and after using the search, I have come up with nothing...And I cant post and ask for information about this provider.

The first thing that popped into my mind, was to quickly write 50 posts pertaining to nothing, simple replies so I can be able to post a new thread, but that would be counter productive.

    What am I to do...

I must've posted this elsewhere, so for the record...

25 posts is the maximum needed for any particular forum, some forums require less posts and some you dont need any.

    50 is a bit much

I do believe that it is a good idea for people like me to wait to be able to post, however, 50??? I don't write that much and I would be old and grey before that would ever happen....

    I see

    That's why I can't start a new thread!

Well, I understand. The board could get quite jammed, if people are posting willy nilly.

And if people like me refuse to read the rules about self promotion or trying to circumvent the rules will be awfully sari.

waiting period would also discourage posting just for the sake of posting.
Been here about 8 or 9 months, and probably dont have 20 posts, if I dont have anything to say, I dont say anything.

A WAITING PERIOD IS BETTER THAN A DEFINED NUMBER OF POSTS.....THAT WOULD ENCOURAGE LURKING

I've posted this elsewhere, but I should post it again here.

You do NOT need 50 posts to start a new thread.

The amount of posts needed varies by forum, the most you need to start a new thread in any particular forum is 25 posts.

ie. You need 10 posts to start a new thread in General and you need 25 posts for NY Spa, etc.

In other words HM, you need only 2 more posts to start a new thread anywhere you'd like. (but make 'em good please.)

    Posting Restriction...

    Slinky:

For someone that visits Utopia every now and then, this 50 limit certainly feels like a BAN even though I didn't recall abusing the policy in here. Wouldn't you think some people will post 50 crappy messages to other threads to get out of this?
