    ps,

Well, I'm not real big on philosophy, but any bargaining that I might be referring to would involve a lady that is asking for over, say, $150/hr. I don't know about that mother living at 178 and Amsterdam or the 17 YO high school dropout, but you seem to be referring to a much lower-priced lady, possibly a street-girl (?) If so, I would seldom, assuming I ever were in the position to (which I doubt), negotiate anything with ladies of that price range.

But, the guy referred to in the situation that I described earns $30 an hour after taxes (Yes, that $100K/yr) and is fairly highly educated. The lady that is earning $150/hr AND up usually has very little marketable skills and is doing something that God gave her the ability to do and is earning between 5 and 17 TIMES what this guy is, who by your own admission, you have no sympathy for (his situation).

To me, "bargaining" with ladies in this price range wouldn't cause ME to lose any sleep.

    justme, I'm not.

If it was a drama between the escorts themselves, that would be interesting. But, they are too smart to do that most of the time. Usually it is a battle waged via proxy.

That's one reason why I have no email button and I don't contact people. I try to keep my distance so as not to get drawn into these things.

Mostly, I have found the amount of information on the boards to be sufficient to make my own determinations of who to see after a bit of cross-checking of resources. So there really isn't a need to be that deep into the board culture.

As it is, I know much more about this whole gig than I care to admit.

Ew - you don't seem like the type of poster that would even be slightly interested in hobbyboard drama.

I knew that phrase would provoke a comment.

    "jockeying for internet supremacy"

Is this another one of those "lactating amputee dwarf" threads ???

Just think what 99.6% of the other members on the boards are thinking.

Myself, I have started to skip whole threads beginning about 3 weeks ago. Too painful to figure out what's going on.

Yeah I could email people, but then you have to figure out whether ther're telling the truth or not. It's hard enough to deal with my own moral issues about paid sex than having to embroil myself into this jockeying for internet supremacy.

Or invite two girls to go skiing in Vermont.

Or was that two others to the Caribbean?

Offering a lifetime supply of Twizzlers to that 17 yr old would probably have been the cheapest and best choice in the three.

The efficacy of lease vs buy is highly impacted by the model, where the S line holds its residual value better than almost any production car,the Cor E. Thus buying the latter on a 6 year note might have ben misguided.

Even in the murky moral milieu of working girl-john negotiations over session price the individual with the financial status above evokes little sympathy vis a vis single mother living on 178th and Amsterdam or the 17 yo high school drop out,who has to buy single wrapped Twizzlers at Costco instead of a pound bag at Waldbaums and Query after bargaining down the single mother, what if the hypothetical john invites another working girl to go to Puerto Rico with him.

I guess the philosophical question is do we in the hobby adhere to an Ayn Rand approach of self determinism or must we balance it with some form of compassion for those less fortunate, even if they may try to game us?
Is this a Darwinian struggle for survivial? Especially now?

    Ozzy,

I think it's like a badge of honor to have been smeared by the likes of Catelli. It is a source of amazement for me to see the longevity a Guy like him has on similar boards, considering he never sees anyone. This board is so much better off for having banned him.

    ps,

The gentleman referred to a.) Is not financial genius although he understand the difference between buying and leasing and b.) changes car only slightly less frequently than he changes his underwear. That makes leasing ANY vehicle VERY problematic. (grin).

And I'm not sure I understand your reference to a mother with no source of income. I'm not sure I see the relevance. Hondled ?
