I passed by the Maspeth Avenue Adult Spot on 4 occasions at all different times. They were supposed to have open booth peeps. There gates are down, and they appear to be closed. Must of been shut down by LE. This city is truly shoot.

I think we are comparing apples to oranges. The places you mentioned are easy to find, local papers are full of listing, and 1F I been visiting for over 10 years (my lawyer turned me on to it!). I been to a couple of private parties held in hotel suites, they are kind of fun, but again - not the fun of Times Square, and much more $$$$.

In my opinion Times Square is in the past. You cannot compare FS or private parties to the good old days of Times Square. filled with every kind of Porn a man can desire, lets not forget the live sex shows. Back in the day maybe 25 years ago (O Lord I feel old!) thru-out NYC were store front FS houses. Sparticus Spa, Tahiti..., there were also strip clubs that advertised in the major papers, Adam & Eve for example -- were you knew what you were getting in the CR room.

When I went to Amsterdam, it brought back memories of what was the once great Times Square. Now all I have left is the movie taxi driver! I love watching Robert Dinaro as he drives up and down Times Square. He played such a great perv. There is one great scene were he takes his date to a porno theater.

That was then and this is now. Times Square cheap thrills are gone -- never to return and Amsterdam is to far to travel. Thank G-d the Dominican Republic is a 3 hour plane ride. If not for the DR, there is a good chance I would join the priesthood.

    EddyBear,

    It is definitely not over.

    It's just moved.

Most of what we enjoyed in Times Square back in the day has gone deep underground or has been replaced in the industry by pure ethnic providers, notably Latina and Asian.

There are also private parties by invite and hidden spots which you gain entry to only by being in the know. Apparently, like that Linden Place.

There are small brothels all over the place, particularly in heavily Latina and Asian immigrant neighborhoods.

From my experience, the Asian ones are hard to crack, but it is also difficult with some Latina sites.

However, one can get throught the front door the more cash hungry the proprietor and the older and more homely the providers.

I actually gained entry to a few Latina providers using ads in the Village Voice a couple of years ago.

But mind you, the phone person spoke perfect English and was simply using immigrant talent, if you could call it that.

Yes, 7 years ago Times Square was still in full gear. I can swear that there were still some spots even 2 years ago.

During the transit strike I searched the Times Square Area high and low, street by street, and found nothing. All I found were a few "upscale gentleman clubs" They all featured $20 admission, $5 mandatory coat check, $12 drinks, $300 - $700 CR rooms, plus large tip (with no guarantee of anything more then an extended Lap Dance)

I am NO GENTLEMAN, so I do not belong there. What a joke. I purchased a copy of Screw Mag, hoping for some insight -- this was my bible back in the day -- No useful information, just another reminder of what Times Square has become. The politicians have accomplished there mission.

What is a man to do? Is it all over? Will we ever see the old days return? Must I accept the fact that it is over and that's that? A death of a loved one. Has 42nd gone the way of Vauldville and the horse and buggy?

I have this fantasy in my head that we will get a liberal mayor next time around, and the XXX neon will reincarnate, and the back rooms will be back. Would love to hear other opinions on the topic.

The address is 48-81 Maspeth Avenue, between 48 and 49 street more or less. It is a few blocks away from Club Rouge, a new topless place, it is on the other side of the street. Again, I never been there so I am not sure what the deal is, or if it is open. Hope you go soon so you can report back.

Would like to hit some spots with you, I can be reached at [*****]almostthreeyears@butnotquite.com[/*****]

    Isn't that what I wrote?

Think there was something similar in that movie, Judge Dredd

Imagine if the future becomes the society from the Woddy Allen movie, "The Sleeper." Remember the orgasmatron? (think that's what it was called)

It was only 7 years ago that we had open window booths in Times Square, where a ton of fun could be had for about $5. And we still had the wonderful Harmony Burlesk, where Lap Dancing was king, and you could have a marvelous afternoon or evening and spend just $50 or so. Now what, you go into a strip club, and go to the VIP for $300 ?? Insane. Look what we lost in less than a decade

    Eddy,

Could you I.D. the place in Maspeth for us? I'd like to hit it, too.

Buddy Booths - It's real sick - I suppose the places have to earn a living. Peep shows always attracted some Fags, but it was not set up for them, on the most part. They had there own fag sections. And some of the emporiums were only for fags.

I do remember back in the day on 42nd - I was in one of the spots enjoying a film -- a heard a tap on the wall from the booth next to me, when I looked there was a guy sticking his tongue through a hole in the booth next to mine!!!

Needless to say I always checked the walls after that experience!

I miss 42nd so much, hard to believe it all ended - Show World, Peep Land, and so many others. What fun 7/24, never a dull moment. The sad part is, it was not so long ago.

I did hear about a place in Maspeth that has open peeps with live dancers. I passed by it the other night around 8:00 PM and it was closed, after the holidays I will check it out again. Not sure if it is still open or what the 411 on it is.

They call them "Buddy Booths". It is not the kind of experience I want to share with a buddy but it takes all kinds.
Actually, the larger places have sections with these booths and sections with normal booths. The curtain will not go up unless the people on both sides want it to. Still I would not go into one. It gives the wrong message to the freaks lurking in the shadows.

Curtains at peep shows you can roll up so you can look at the guy in the next booth?

    Damn!

    That's just revolting.

What you say is 100% correct. I was on 3rd Ave in Brooklyn last week, visiting a few Strip clubs I have not been to in a few years -- and to my amazement starting around 30th street, there are lots of adult book stores/peep shows. No girls, just booths. I took a look at the booths and noticed that they all had glass with a roll up curtain on the side -- confused I asked the clerk what it was, hoping it had something to do with live women -- well it is a gay thing, you put in money and the curtain rolls up to look at the guy in the booth next to you. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What has it all come down to? It is getting worse and worse. During the MTA strike I stayed in NYC. I went to 42nd in hopes of finding some fun... NOTHING!

I bought Screw mag & another adult mag to see if I could find some adult fun...NOTHING!

I walked in the Play Pen on 8th which was the only place that looked liked it offered some fun...NOTHING!

I have to just accept the fact that it is all gone. Just in/out FS, which you can find in every city, so who cares. The only hope is a liberal mayor in 4 years, and maybe some fun will once again emerge...

Those peep booths are nothing but gay men attractors.

    Especially in Manhattan.

    That's all who's there.

    What a turn off.

Step into one of those damn booths and it's hard to move your feet afterwards.

    Double yuck.
