The tasteless joke here is to refer to the current 'stripper' threads.

Getting paid more obviously covers a wide range of ills.

I thought that was how you dealt with the absurd price of real estate.

Dondee - gargle it, breathe it, live it.

Pollution is out of control down here. As far as quality of life is concerned, it's really the most compelling argument against living here.

    (jokes notwithstanding)

Well sure, you people gargle with that stuff in your parts of the country.

(I only say this since, like most of the other UG ers, I recently found out that you are from the Great State of Texas...)

A few years back there was an explosion at the Tosco refinery in the SF Bay Area.....combined with the effect of the "special formulated" gas California mandated (which BTW, the special chemical used was found to have been seeping into and polluting the ground water) drove gas prices up to $2 per gallon....

last I checked it is still about 50 cents more per gallon than NY rates (80 cents more per gallon than NJ).

(still beats the $4+ they pay in the UK)

    Re: Re: Wow.......!

I thought about it, but I'm saving my piss for another thread!

Yea, good thing there were no more fatalities than the two missing and one injury.

    Re: Wow.......!

So what do you do? You log onto UG !!! Go help out and piss on the fire at least.

Good news/bads news is so far looks like only 2 deaths and 1 injured. It was gas burning so it's not as bad as if it had been oil.

I had been in that general area a few years back driving back a cousin of mine to his ship. His ship was in the country unloading oil. With all the safety measures in place accidents still happen. But it could have been lots worse.
