    YESSSSSSS!!!

Yanks do it again!!- Knock off one team with 102 wins and the other with 116 wins. Yanks in 6 over AZ with both loses to Curt Schilling
  2. Go Yanks!

    What a fantastic day.

A late-afternoon romp with my favorite provider.

A 9-0 lead going into the top of the 7th.

Homers from Bernie and Paulie, with a curtain call to boot.

With the events of the last few weeks behind us, this is pure sweetness.

THE YANKEES WIN!!! THE YANKEES WIN!!!

well oz you're wrong it certainly wouldn't be Pinella popping off tonight would it.

as for the fix - you see conspiracies everywhere. always have alwyas will i suppose

and your examples of pros giving up are bullshit (pardon the french)

besides if you would read I was talking specifically about the Mariners going into Game 3. I can assure you that there was no spoken thought that oh gee we're down 2-0 to the Yankees let's give up cause its over. no ballplayer i've ever known thought like that.

well lets see how right i am. and it is fixed. shit man...we fixed a presidential election....you think a lousy baseball game is impossible.

remember...i was the last person alive in the jag subway series picks last year.

and i'll give you a perfect example of pro's giving up....

    1. pick any dolphins jets game in the last few years. miami has no lead that is safe. they basically give up to a rather bad jets team (sorry RnB) everytime.....and thats when their winning.

    2. the boston red sox in october. need i say more?

    3. the cubs on opening day.

    4. the bengals ...usually by week 3. and this year at 2-0 they did it again.

there's simply the inevitable when it comes to certain teams.

if you know Pinella that wasnt close to going off - i can assure you they don't give up - they may lose but they don't give up.

course don't understand why you bother to comment since you think its all fixed anyway.

I almost feel bad for all Yankee fans who really want to but can't get to go to the games. All playoff games, no matter where, have such an upbeat attitude - tho certainly some places more than others. Seatle was very exciting and while I don't espouse team prefernces for the most part, I am a native NYer and so think it is always more exciting here. Sometimes I think it is a shame I can't give my spot away (my current job is with MLB).

A rep from Sealy came by my store today, he said he had a pair of Yankee tickets for the owner of a nearby mattress store. I tried to get him to give them to me, but no dice, dammit.

    yanks in 5 now....

i thought they would lose the first one. they win the next and it's probably a sweep. the M's just give up at that point.

anyone wanna bet Piniella explodes in game 2 if the M's go down early.......he's long over due.

    I was wrong already!

Yanks took the first game fairly easily! With the best pitcher the last couple months pitching in Mussina, do I hear sweep! Not- no jinxing! Yanks still in 7

The Yankees are hardly about to dismantle, even with the changes. Their infield, soon to be done over, will be potent! The saying goes that they won't rebuild, they'll re-load. Torre says Drew Henson (ready in '03) may be "a once-in-a-lifetime player."

Yanks do it the hard way!

I think the Yankees lose the first 2 games then end up going back to Seattle and win in 7
