If someone posts "IF your an asshole click here" and someone clicks, but there no one else around to see that, is he still an asshole ? lol

    Peace Out

Well, if one did that I would probably leave it up just for the comedic value. However, the real point is that it is so completely easy for someone to actually think of something to either add to an existing thread, or some topic to start a new one, that if they can't even bother to do that, then I can't bother not to delete a blatant ad.

BTW Wouldn't you like to see someone try that ?

So if a provider is visiting New York and posta on the NYC Board: "All you hobbyists are a bunch of assholes who can't get a date." and leave her URL that would be cool?

"I think that my posts were non-controversial enough"

That's the reason they got deleted.......( LOL )

Things don't get deleted here because they are controversial. We're not afraid of a good back and forth on UG ( just in case you hadn't noticed ).

However, we don't allow any advertising in the discussion sections."I basically included her name, the URL for her website, and the fact that she had
some good reviews on TBD". That's my definition of an ad.

Now, if some sites want to be "advertising" posting sites, that's fine, and there is nothing inherently "wrong" with that. It's just not how we do things here. The discussion sections here are for just that - discussing issues regarding just about anything, with the common bent being "the hobby".

If only she had come on and said "All you hobbyists are a bunch of assholes who can't get a date", the post would have stayed up.

I put a post on the NY board about a travelling provider. I basically
included her name, the URL for her website, and the fact that she had
some good reviews on TBD. My post was deleted. Prior to that, I had
the lady herself attempt to post her info on UG (NY board also). Her
post was also deleted, according to her.

So my question is (to Slinky I guess) what is the protocol for posting
this type of information??? I think that my posts were non-controversial
enough, but obviously something went wrong. I'd appreciate knowing
why my post was deleted. If you prefer to email me, that's fine.

    thanks,
